Basic Rules for Safe Internet Use

Many people are surprised to learn that the internet is not a safe place. The internet is accessible to anyone who has a computer and an internet connection, and there are many dangers lurking in the digital world. The first rule of internet safety is to never give out personal information. This includes your name, address  , email address, phone number, and even your password. This will prevent any unwanted contact from people looking to scam, harass, or otherwise get personal information from you.

Never give out any personal information

We all know the importance of not giving out personal information online. The internet is a dangerous place and you never know who is lurking in the shadows. We are all guilty of giving out our personal information, but what is the point of doing so? It’s not like our information is going to make a  difference in the world. However, if you are a celebrity you may have a different opinion. Why? It’s because they are constantly giving out their home address and making it a point to tell us where they are going to be.

Never download anything from the internet that you are not sure of

There are so many viruses and other malicious software that can be downloaded from the internet that it is best to not download anything from the internet unless you are sure of what it is.  It is best to only download from trusted sources like from your school or from your own personal computer.

Never do anything on the internet that  you wouldn’t do in real life

If you’re looking for a way to relieve your boredom, you might want to start by checking out the internet. It’s a vast and diverse place, with all sorts of things to see. You can find anything from a video of a cat playing with a box to a video of a man giving himself a haircut with  a pair of scissors. And if you’re looking for something a little more adult, you can find all sorts of free porn and free erotica.

Never give out your password to anyone

Passwords are like the keys to your castle, and the last thing you would want is someone else getting a hold of them. So, never give out your password to anyone.  No matter how much you trust them, there is no guarantee that they won’t use your account. Never give out your password to anyone, no matter what. People will take advantage of you if you give them too much power. They might even give your password to someone else and then you’ll have to deal with the consequences.

Never go to any web page that makes you feel suspicious

Never go to any web page that makes you feel suspicious! The internet is full of bad people and you should never trust anyone. I know that you’re probably thinking, “But I’m not going to give them my information!” But you don’t know whether or not they’re going to ask for it.  And if they do, don’t give them any financial information, because that can be used to steal your identity. Don’t give out your phone number, either, because it can be used to call you and spam you. I know that you don’t want to hear all this and that it’s probably a bit annoying. I know that it’s really really hard to deal with, but it’s necessary. You’ll have to deal with bullies your whole life, and if you don’t know how to deal with them, then you’ll have a very difficult time. I know that you don’t care about any of this, but I just want you to be safe. I know you’ve been through a lot, but I just want you to be safe and happy.
